Mass Effect Legendary Edition - Issues with Dialogue Fadeouts
I am experiencing a crash when I end certain dialogues in Mass Effect. This occurs after the Anderson and Udina Cutscene, after arriving on the Citadel. Another crash happens after speaking with Anderson, included in the log and attached save.
To Reproduce:
- Speak with Anderson
- Choose Investigate option
- Say Goodbye
There appears to be a hang that lets the sound stutter and then I am thrown out of the game.

The Apitrace replays just fine with DXVK. You did record the apitrace without DXVK, right?
What I recorded with was barely interactable, loading for an extended amount of time.
I did record it as instructed with the wrapper DLL files.
Did it crash when you recorded the apitrace?
I shut down the application via task manager , there was no crash in the apitrace.
But the point where it would normally crash with DXVK had already happened before you killed it, right?

yes
@Xytronix Do you know if this happens without all the mods? On Linux (Proton) i haven't gotten it to crash with the vanilla game, also while using your config settings. I also tried installing reshade with the linked preset, but that also seemed fine. Since you are on Windows i presume you are trying to use reshade in Vulkan mode instead of dx11?
I gave it a try on Windows with the Vulkan version of reshade, but didn't experience a crash yet still. This time also with the mello mod. Testing was done with a RTX 4080 using both latest 581 driver and 572.16.
@Xytronix Friendly ping
