Far Cry 4 on AMD Vega 10 - Game hangs while loading (sometimes it hangs later)
I'm not sure if the issue has something to do with DXVK, but here's a bug report. Running on Pop_OS 24.04 using COSMIC DE, PROTON_ENABLE_WAYLAND=0 because Ubisoft Launcher refuses to work otherwise.
The problem is: Far Cry 4 hangs while loading, when the "little wheel" is spinning.
Logs will be included with argument -force-d3d9 and without it.
Software information
Heroic games launcher launches Ubisoft Connect, with that I'm launching Far Cry 4.

UPDATE: Using PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 fixes the issue, meaning this is either a MESA bug or a DXVK bug
Logs will be included with argument -force-d3d9 and without it.
That's pointless. That flag does nothing, the game doesn't support D3D9.

As we expected, good to know
apitrace uploaded, game crashes while doing it, before it even shows a window
How is it with wined3d's Vulkan renderer?
PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 WINE_D3D_CONFIG=renderer=vulkan
