Call of Duty: World at War crashes with GraphicsPipelineLibrary = Auto/True
The game crashes after loading 2-3 maps with dxvk.enableGraphicsPipelineLibrary = Auto or True with True exhibiting visual glitches too. Setting it to False makes the game stuttery in the beginning but doesn't crash after changing maps. I have a custom config but this happens regardless if the default config is being used. Steam in-game has been disabled (it causes crashes sometimes with PipelineLibrary = False) & no overlays used.
The same config used in CoD: Black Ops 1 doesn't crash the game.
PS: This error comes up whenever using in-game supersampling in CoD2, CoD4, CoDWaW & CoDBO1 "warn: ConvertFormat: Unknown format encountered: D3D9Format::SSAA"

You are disabling a feature that is specifically made (and default enabled) for 32bit games to help them not crash with the Graphics Pipeline Library feature. There is no need to mess with all of these config options.

Tried this setting for hundreds of hours at this point...it does still crash but takes a few seconds longer. Same happens with numerous other d3d9 games when GPL = Auto/ True. I'll try to catch the visual glitches if it doesn't crash on me. It's intermittent. I recall this happening on "Blur 2010" after a few games on splitscreen and not when GPL = False.
At first i thought i wasn't reproducing as i played through a couple of full missions without issue. But now that i have unlocked more i do see that i can get it to crash if i switch between maps 3-4 times in a session. This is in Proton Linux with a RTX 4080

Fastest to reproducte is to start a new listen server and exit and a new map & repeat until it crashes 😊

i dont have amd card to confirm, but my friend has and he dont use dxvk, the game just crashes for him for no apparent reason, i suspect some compatibilites issue with newer versions of Windows. (i couldnt reproduce my friend's crashes anyway)
i also played this on FreeBSD, Windows 7/10/11, and linux with no issues.

I've organised multiple LAN parties with 10+ folks and none crashed with or without dxvk. The issue is on your friends side.
