Alt Tabbing with engines that change window status is busted

Two games have this issue afaik, battlefield 4 and black ops 3. These two games change from fullscreen to windowed when alt tabbing, this causes focus stealing issues with the app instantly stealing focus, denying alt tab activity.

Tested this on gnome and kde, identical issue Tested different proton versions, same problem.
