filling up my entire hard drive!
I discovered that something was slowly filling my hard drive up, slowly adding data at tens or hundreds of megabytes per second until there was only as little as 10MB of free space left. I at first thought it was an error in Box Drive, but actually, it was PTPWebcamLaunchAgent:

Force quitting the application didn't help (it relaunched itself). Once I'd used the PTPWebcam uninstaller, the hard drive stopped filling up.
I'm running OSX 10.15.7 (19H512).
Can confirm this behavior on 10.13.
Not sure what triggered it, but just had the exact same issue. Almost 500GB filled by the app. Uninstalling and restarting seemed to fix it. OS 10.15.7
I tracked it down, its the error log at /tmp/org.ptpwebcam.PtpWebcamAgent.stderr.log being spammed with
2021-02-12 17:22:15.975 PtpWebcamLaunchAgent[769:4370] unknown descriptor of typ 0x01

I no longer have the problem here after an uninstall and reinstall. However, the circumstances are different now than they were, including that I've now got a functioning USB camera attached. PtpWebcamLaunchAgent is running properly and has written 104kB over the course of maybe 10 minutes of being open. Earlier, when it was filling the hard drive, the software was not responding, as the original screenshot showed.
As I don't know if this problem is actually solved, I won't be closing this issue for now.

Tried all combinations of uninstalls + reinstalls + reboots, still no luck
