Request: Add support for currently unsupported tab types

I'd like to formally request support for the unsupported tab types such as First Name, Last Name as well as for validation properties on text tabs like Email, SSN, and Date validation.

Thanks for the feedback @keenan-chiasson can you explain more about your use case and where do you need these tabs to be supported? like with templates or envelopes, and while creating or while signing so we can create the enhancement to address your needs properly cc: @ashokds

Yes. We are working on an app that uses DocuSign templates for government forms that require email, SSN, and Date of Birth fields that we would like to validate, as well as several places for first and last name to be entered that we would like to streamline by using the first name and last name tabs. This is for offline signing (the forms are completed on remote work sites with poor internet connectivity), and the templates need to be cached for offline use, but cannot as the error shows the template has unsupported tab types. I have been working around it by having the user's re-enter their first and last name, as well as removed the validation logic, but this is not ideal for our business use case.

Hello @keenan-chiasson We added this request on our backlog but we don't have a commitment yet to when will we deliver this, will update the ticket once we have more firm timelines.
