Unable to find option to delete a Space

Open hari-bo opened this issue 2 months ago • 7 comments

According to the documentation here: https://docmost.github.io/docs/user-guide/spaces/ , there should be an option to delete a Space. However, in my current installation, I don’t see any “Delete” or “Remove” option in the Space settings menu.

I’m running the Docker version of Docmost, currently on v0.23.2. My user role is Owner with Full Access permissions, but the delete option is still not visible.

Could you confirm if this functionality has been moved, renamed, or temporarily removed in this version? If it’s permission-related, please clarify what additional conditions must be met for an Owner with Full Access to delete a Space.

The option is typically just below where you're looking. Have you tried creating a new space and then seeing if the delete option is visible there?

I've four spaces but all won't have the delete option and using Firefox 144.0.2 (64-bit).

If you are an admin in the space, it should appear just below the Export button. You may have to scroll to see it.

I can only see options to create or modify spaces, but there’s absolutely no visible option to delete them. Is this something that can be done through the API instead?

Zoom out in your browser (75% or less). There is a problem where the buttons at the bottom disappear if the screen is too small. A scroll bar is then displayed on my screen, but it cannot be used. Zooming out helps, or using a larger screen.

If you zoom in, you can hide the Export button too.

It worked indeed after zooming out to 60% in the browser, the delete button became visible. Still, that’s quite odd since I’m using a standard 1920x1080 resolution and modern hardware with a 125% display scale.

Oh the modal is scrollable 😲 Thank you for the hint!

@Philipinho, can you allow the modal to use more vertical space? There is no reason to have it scrollable when there is space below, worst users can have a hard time to find hidden buttons like "Delete" 😅
