[Feature]: Audio support
Is your proposal related to a problem?
Is there a way to configure the container / noVNC to add audio support?
Describe the solution you'd like.
I'm running WinXP for my daughter (who's keen on OS history) to play with in a browser. We've successfully installed the VLC Media Player, but we'd like audio support for playing video files.
Describe alternatives you've considered.
I've found noVNC audio plugins, but am unsure how to use them to enable audio support for the dockerized WinXP container.

No response
If you connect via the RDP protocol instead of VNC, you will have audio. Also video playback will be much smoother via RDP. The web viewer is much more laggy, and is only included so that you have a display during installation (which cannot be provided by RDP).
Thanks, that does work, and is no doubt the best solution for playing music, video files, or even games. I'd still like to request the feature in the web browser for system sounds, but it's not a high priority request.
@mcattle I just bundle noVNC, so it would be better to request it here: https://github.com/novnc/noVNC/issues because when they add support for it upstream, this project will profit from that too.
