Upgrading is possible during system updates, I tried it, but you won't like how it works.

and you can set VERSION: "16"

I've tried the upgrade in the OS. There's a problem when I enable FileVault. Typing the password doesn't allow you to open a session. I'm using 26.1 without FileVault and it's ok. Version:16: ❯ ERROR: Unknown VERSION specified, value "16" is not recognized!

I did not enable the FileVault, everything is fine with the upgrade.
