Is this project dead?

I'm considering using this lib in another project of mine, however, I may not want to commit to using this lib if the project is dead. There have been ~7 PRs merged this year and the README mentions that this is still experimental, so...

  1. is this project dead?
  2. if it's not dead, then is there a roadmap detailing when this lib will be stable/non-experimental?
