the following sentence is confusing:

but the paths of files and directories will be interpreted as relative to the source of the context of the build

given its context, it can be interpreted as meaning that only in the presence of "[multiple] <src> resources" their paths will be interpreted as such, while I believe this to be true regardless. this is indeed stated a few paragraphs below.
