Docker desktop load for ages and ended up showing error
I downloaded the latest docker desktop, and followed the installation guidelines on the doc. After installation, docker start and behave well. But whenever I close docker app or turn off my system and start it again, and try to start docker desktop, it loads for ages showing "Starting the Docker Engine..." and "Docker Engine is underlying technology that runs containers" and ended up showing a message saying "An error occurred while loading the containers list" and same thing for image section/page too.
When the docker icon is clicked, docker wont start, but when I start it from the terminal using this command "system --user start docker-desktop", it then start docker desktop and repeat the circle of loading for ages and end up throwing error
Operating system is Debain
I have same problem. Docker Desktop version is 4.38.0

Are you using any version that seems to work atm? @kappaexpress

Thanks, I ended up downloading this too
I found a fix-trick for it: https://gist.github.com/olaferlandsen/72635f3472109730c3bd84280b986181
I have exactly the same issue (Debian 12.10). Only if I delete ~/.docker/desktop/settings-store.json I am able to start docker desktop again. This problem started with v4.38.0, only v4.37.1 is working for me.
@maxgrundnig Could you provide a diagnostic please?
