Install CloudWatch Agent on hosts

Has anyone tried to install CloudWatch Agent on the hosts? https://docs.aws.amazon.com/AmazonCloudWatch/latest/monitoring/Install-CloudWatch-Agent.html

It'd be great to be able to collect host-level metrics in CloudWatch.
