Open Morph0124 opened this issue 11 months ago • 2 comments

Hello, thanks for your great work and I do appreciate that. But I can not access my localhost port. I am trying to run bern2 in Windows 11. And I use git bash to start run_bern2_windows.sh. And it seems starts well as following: 1711107533692 However, when I try to open the local host in Chrome by the following link: http://localhost:18888/ . I got the error of "The response sent by localhost is invalid." I am new to this tool as well as python. Please help me.

Hi @Morph0124

The port number 18888 is designated for gnormplus, an external module that communicates with BERN2. Have you tried using localhost:8888 instead?

Thanks for your kind reply. I have tried localhost:8888. The result showed as following: This website cannot be accessed. localhost refused our connection request. Please try the following:

Check network connection Check proxy servers and firewalls ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED

However, the localhost was available by the direct link to localhost.
