Uninstall while Davx5 is installed locks phone (and doesn't uninstall)

I'm trying out various apps to sync with a self-hosted Nextcloud and found a recommendation to use Davx5 with OpenTasks. I wasn't able to get it to work (which is another issue), but more importantly, I wasn't able to uninstall OpenTasks. When I tried, the phone (a Pixel 2 running Android 10) locked up and I had to force it to reboot. The same thing happened when I tried again, even when I force-quit the app and cleared the local cache and data first.

The only way I was finally able to get OpenTasks uninstalled was to uninstall Davx5 first, and then uninstall OpenTasks.

Sounds more like an Android issue to me. The app itself is not involved in the uninstall process. I suspect Android has an issue when uninstalling an app other apps depend on. In this particular case Davx5 was probably granted a permission which is declared in OpenTasks and Android might run into issues when the permission definition becomes unavailable. That being said, I've done that hundreds of times on my devices (granted, not on Android 10 so far), so this might be a new issue. A system log from the device would be interesting to see.

Same problem w/Android 10 and Pixel 3aXL. Killed app (and DAVX5); turned off permissions, deleted cache, and storage, and still, the phone froze on uninstall (no uninstall happened). Uninstalling through Play Store had the same experience. Had to uninstall in Safe Mode.

FWIW uninstalled fine on Android 9 device.

Same Problem with Android 10 on Oneplus 7T with Oxygen OS 10.0.15. Phone freezes and reboots.

Can confirm the issue for two devices (Android 10), both running DAVx⁵ for contact- and task-sync. OnePlus 3 - LineageOS 17.1 20210203 microG Asus ROG Phone 2 - WW 17.0240.2021.65
