Update of build (Gradle, dependencies, ...)

Would it be possible to get an updated version that uses the latest Gradle version and newest dependencies, including for example org.json:json?

Using the latest Gradle version (to support newer JDKs as well) seems to be non-trivial, as the de.fuerstenau.buildconfig plugin is not compatible anymore.
