Internet access gone after update of an older Epichrome instance
Hey @dmarmor, having an odd issue with an older browser I'd not fired up since before your last major updates. I was using Proxy SwitchyOmega to pass the connection through another ISP and found that when I fired it up and upgraded it to the newest Epichrome release, I now cannot go to any sites. Furthermore resetting the settings hasn't helped... Any thoughts about digging into and resetting proxy/connection settings that might have been modified by such an app? I assume there's something somewhere b0rked in this regard, but I'm not finding it...
Hey @ylluminate,
Hmm. The only thing I can think of is that SwitchyOmega is somehow conflicting with the Epichrome Helper extension, but I can't figure out how that would be. Epichrome Helper definitely doesn't touch proxy settings in any way. It does intercept clicks on links in order to decide how to route them.
I guess the first thing to know would be, if you disable Epichrome Helper, does that fix the problem you're seeing? If it does, then the next step might be to try a beta version of the extension I'm working on.
One more thing (you may have seen this ad naueam in my comments in other issues, so apologies if that's the case). I'm working on a fairly major update that I believe will solve many long-standing problems, and in preparation for that, I've done this:

I've set up a Patreon. If you find Epichrome useful and would like to help support its continued development, I've love it if you considered joining. Your membership would help cover the costs and time I put into the project. Membership is per-release, so you'd only be charged when I put out a new version with significant work in it.

Hey @ylluminate, just checking up on some old issues. Did this resolve with 2.3.0? I'd love to close it if so.
