Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property '1' of null at HTMLAnchorElement.ssbContent.handleClick

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property '1' of null at HTMLAnchorElement.ssbContent.handleClick (chrome-extension://ngbmbabjgimgbfobhfhjpfhpmpnhbeea/content.js:5) ssbContent.handleClick @ chrome-extension://ngbmbabjgimgbfobhfhjpfhpmpnhbeea/content.js:5

Can reproduce with Jira Portfolio (cloud). Functionally everything else works. If I disable Epichrome helper it works.

Please let me know what you need to isolate the issue.

I'll look into this. You're seeing this in the Chrome console, I take it? I've been in the midst of a substantial Epichrome Helper rewrite, so it's possible this bug is already fixed in the next release--however I probably won't get a chance to finish that release for quite a while. I'll see if there's something easily patchable here.

I am experiencing this problem.

I am developing Lightning Web Components for a Salesforce.com application. When I click on my component, I get:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property '1' of null at HTMLAnchorElement.ssbContent.handleClick (content.js:5)

This is with

  • Google Chrome Version 74.0.3729.169 (Official Build) (64-bit)
  • OSX 10.14.5 (18F132)
  • Epichrome 2.2.4

The error does not occur in Safari.

Hi all, sorry for the slow responses to this. I'm hoping to release a beta version of the new extension sometime, and will update you here when that's available. Hoping it will fix the problem.

Hi all,

I'm working on a rewrite of the extension that may solve this problem. I'm also working on a fairly major update to Epichrome itself and am planning to release both for testing about the same time. With my work schedule, it may take a while, but I'll let you know when that happens. Thanks for your patience!

One more thing:

<shameless_plug>

I've set up a Patreon. If you find Epichrome useful and would like to help support its continued development, I've love it if you considered joining. Your membership would help cover the costs and time I put into the project. Membership is per-release, so you'd only be charged when I put out a new version with significant work in it.
