Some texts renders with oversized font with Google Lens OCR

I've noticed that when translating text that has a larger font size in the source text — for example, "sound effects" especially — the resulting font size is much larger than expected. This issue occurs when translating from French to English using Google Lens for OCR. Translation engine doesn't seem to matter. Previously, the translations maintained a consistent font size, so I suspect a recent update might have introduced this.

Any help or guidance on resolving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

The problem is not with recognition, but with your global formalization settings. Google only supplies text. Look for an error or bug in the style system

Can you make a video with an example? I would like to understand if this is our bug at all or if you have automatic text block sizing enabled

@vanderalex That's "L'impératrice Rouge" by Jean Dufaux, translating from French to English.

@bropines I'm not sure how to enable/disable the automatic text box sizing.

This mostly seems to happen when the found text box is more or less vertical even though the text inside is horizontal, i.e. a short "sound effect" word written a large size font or a narrow text box with multiple lines of text. My hunch is that some part of the code thinks it has to reserve space for top-to-bottom written text, but as the text is actually left-to-right, it renders the final output wrong.

I apologize for being off-topic. I'm translating this book from French to English as well. So as not to do a waste of work. Are you going to put it out for public access, or are you translating just for yourself?

@bropines Yeah, apparently I have no idea what these settings mean. I had "font size" and "alignment" set to "decide by program", all other settings were the same as in your screen cap.

So "Global setting" = what is currently selected as "global font format" and "decide by program" = no clue - something that Python scripts think the values should be?

@vanderalex Unfortunately I've deleted the json file already and I'm not planning in publishing anything I'm translating, it's just for my own use. There's so much untranslated BD that I've been dying to read for ages and now I have a chance to do that, thanks to this project right here. :)

I just asked you to play with the values. That's all. If that doesn't help, then I'll see (or DmMaze) why it resets the state of the text block.
