Snip not acting as usual

I'm on 8.0.1 release and for some reason when I hover over the snip icon on the right of my taskbar it shows as "No track playing" even though there is music playing.

When I go to where the txt files are located Snip.txt updates fairly slowly, and all the other txt files show just as empty.

I have Save Information Separately checked but its not doing so.

As you can see in the image, the only file updating is Snip.txt even thought all the files should be.

I've tested this on both vanilla spotify and spicetify both give the same result.

If any more information is needed please let me know.
