Album Name

If you import a local music file and it does not have one of the placeholders (such as artist or album) in the settings it will display the placeholder.

What do you mean by placeholder? Could you post a screenshot?

Alright. And just to confirm... you are using a lowercase L and not an uppercase i, right?

If that's the case then this is definitely a bug.

Nope this works just fine if the album is present but does not when the album is not.

hey just wanted to add in here - the $$l works if i put it in the artist box (see below) image

but if there isn't an album in itunes it literally says "$$l" image

if i put $$l in any other box, nothing shows up at all. so i CAN have my album shown, but if there isn't one listed it'll have those characters. i don't know if this helps or not, but i thought i'd let you know.
