manual package update results in server crash

I'm trying to update the package workspace-d but every time I hit the "Trigger manual update" button in the settings, the registry shortly after it shows "package is currently being updated" it goes offline and restarts and the version doesn't get updated to the latest pre-release version. (3.5.0-pre.6)

It worked up to the last version from 7 days ago and I didn't change anything in any dub related files so this doesn't really make sense why it happens now. Currently the registry seems to crash a lot again in general. So currently I would much rather think this is some timed issue in some other area but no matter how fast I try to trigger the update after the startup, it never seems to work.
