Cannot install v1.7.8 on Python3.8 due to numpy 2 build requirement

With python3.8, pip install xrayutilities fails with error: ERROR: Could not find a version that satisfies the requirement numpy>=2.0.0rc1 .

This is due to numpy 2 being a build requirement while it is not available for Python3.8:
