Notify the person that is replied to

From what I observe in the source code, Cusdis doesn't support notifying the author of the parent comment right?

Since the email is already present in the model so this should be in the plan.

It's technically possible. But the reason I didn't implement it is I'm worried about it could expose the commenter under email spam risk.

Another question is the email address passed by the user is not validated. We can't sure the ownership of it.

Imagine a people leave a comment on a website and claims his email address is [email protected] (but in fact that's not his email). Now he can reply to this comment with some content that would deliver to this email, without the [email protected] owner knowing who he is. The only information the owner know is the notification is sent by Cusdis.

After taking a shower I came up with a solution to workaround it.

1. Provide a checkbox in widget that let user choose if receive email notification when being reply
2. If the user checked, we send a confirm email to the email address
3. If the user confirms, we could send email to this email address later
4. User can unsubscribe the thread through an unsubscribe link in the notification email

It makes much sense. Maybe we could limit the notification to users login with OAuth only, if OAuth support is in the future plan.

Hello! Any plans to add a checkbox for getting email notifications? As of now, people have no way to get notified when I reply to their questions.
