Official Matrix room
For those of us who do not use Discord and won't use Discord for privacy reasons, it may be helpful to have an official Matrix room bridged to the Discord using Matrix-Discord appservice
As discussed in #61, there already is a matrix room that is linked to the Freenode channel. The Discord bridge would be a welcome addition and would aid us in not splitting the community.
It should be in the README.
That's how I see things aswell. See #88 for my PR regarding the issue.
Does this room still exist? I've gotten around to setting up Matrix but am having trouble joining.
Did you select Freenode as your server? I just clicked through the 'explore rooms' option at https://app.element.io/ and had to select the right server first. After this I found #dwl (with 16 members ^^).
Do we have dedicated matrix channel since freenode is no more? Or is it just only the libera.chat irc?

/join #dwl:libera.chat
works.
Separately, I set up a matrix-discord bridge myself a few weeks ago, and it works, but it's a little cumbersome. I can see nicks present in the #dwl:libera.chat room, but I am not clear yet to which (if any) of the discord rooms this is linked.
@fauxmight if you have time we could test. I can join irc and write some messages so you'll check which discord room is bridged.

I am currently in the Matrix room:

I am in my own matrix-discord bridge and present in the whole "guild" of Discord channels (rooms? I really don't know Discord. I only made the bridge to keep up with dwl).
Anyway, post something in libera.chat's #dwl (I don't have a running IRC client anymore, so I'm not "there.") And I'll post here which rooms/channels it shows up in in Matrix/Discord(-matrix-bridge).
For any others reading this issue: Tests indicate that libera.chat's #dwl is bridged to #dwl:libera.chat in Matrix but that neither has any connection to the Discord #dwl guild.
