DJI Digital FPV System

Open yngndrw opened this issue 4 years ago • 4 comments

Hello,

Are there any plans to support the live feed from the DJI Digital FPV System via the USB port, in the same way that the "FPV Live" app does on the Smart Controller? (Either via the Windows SDK or the Android SDK)

Thanks, -Andrew.

Dear Client Thank you for contacting DJI.

I am sorry that there is no plan to support DJI Digital FPV System in SDK or output the video to other hardware.

Hopefully our solution can help you. Kindly Regards, DJI Developer Support

Hello William,

That's a shame to hear - Is this due to the effort required to make and maintain the change to the SDK? If so, would you be able to provide some details about the communication method used to output the stream to the FPV Live app? I've noticed that when connecting my goggles to my PC, a RNDIS connection is opened with the IP range 192.168.42.* - Is that used to transfer the video feed (And if so, what IP / Port / Protocol is used?) or is it done directly through a USB bulk endpoint?

I'm sure you'll agree that using the £600 smart controller just for a HDMI output is not realistic, so it would be great if an alternative was offered that the community could support .

Thanks, -Andrew.

Dear Client Thank you for contacting DJI.

I am sorry tht as far as I know, the goggles is a closed loop product and it cannot connect/communicate with the outside world.

Hopefully our solution can help you. Kindly Regards, DJI Developer Support

@yngndrw Hi, did you make any progress on reverse engineering the output? I'd love to talk.
