No virtual stick control for Mavic air 2?

Open thealch3m1st opened this issue 3 years ago • 4 comments

I am having difficulty understanding why virtual joystick control mode doesn't work for the Mavic air 2 ? It's apparently intelligent enough to avoid obstacles but not intelligent enough to support heading control mode ? (which according to your documentation is required for virtual joystick support).

If the hand held controller is capable of joystick commands to the aircraft why can't the sdk talk to the controller and have it relay those commands to the flight controller ?

Can we please get support for this feature?

Does DJI not realize the value the developer ecosystem could provide in a synergistic way?

Agent comment from Luce Luo in Zendesk ticket #47712:

Dear Customer,

Thank you for contacting DJI. Sorry but the Mavic Air 2 is supported by the virtual sitck. Can you please try with this guide? https://developer.dji.com/mobile-sdk/documentation/ios-tutorials/SimulatorDemo.html

Thanks,

Following up, I did get it to work but only after adding com.dji.logiclink to the supported external accessory protocols.

@thealch3m1st

Are you still struggling with how to make use of the virtual stick function! Let me know since I could use VS mode successfully and I can help you?
