Connection to drone lost after mission upload and change app
Hello,
after uploading my iPad to iOs 11 I'm having an issue which I have been able to reproduce on two different iPads. The steps to reproduce this issue are the following:
- open an app where you can upload waypoint missions to the drone (I have had the bug using both an app that we are developing at my company and with the Litchi app)
- upload a mission to the drone, if the button used for uploading a mission makes it start (such as the play button in Litchi app) pause the mission as soon as it starts
- then switch to the app DJI Go 4 and try to connect to the drone, you will see that the app cannot connect to it
- try switching back to the original app where you uploaded the mission, you will see that it can not connect to the drone either!
- the only way I have found to re-connect to the drone is to unplug/replug the USB cable
This does not happen on iOs 10.3 where I can switch from one app to another without losing the connection to the drone. Any hints on where does this come from?
Thanks for your help.
Cheers,
Nacho.
PS: I have tried with both 4.2 and 4.3 versions of the DJI Mobile SDK pods
+1 Also noticed that the connection is lost when the DJI Go 4 goes from the foreground to the background.
Which aircraft are you seeing this with? We are aware off the issue of iOS 11 not handling hardware accessory switching like we would hope for, but feedback is always helpful.
It seems we aren't the only people looking at the question: https://forums.developer.apple.com/thread/84961
I'm seeing this both with the Phantom 4 Pro and with the Mavic. I don't believe this a hardware issue, since it worked with iOs 10.3, it looks more like an incompatibility between iOs 11 and the DJI SDK.
We suspect it is an issue of iOS 11. We are talking to Apple for more information.
Hi XietongUI, is there an update on this issue?
Hi, XietongUI, Is there any update for this issue? It is happening in IOS 15 too.
