Hello,

Are there any plans about releasing a SDK for the DJI Air 2 S ?

Do you work on improvement or new features for this drone ?

Dear DJI: What do you mean by ..." With your support, it may be possible to advance."...

We support you by buying your drones. You don't need our support. WE NEED YOURS!!

It feels to me that DJI's policy is to support new drones only as their replacement drones are about to be released. My bet is that the Air 2S will be supported in the SDK a couple of months before the model to replace it will be released. And that new one not supported in the SDK.

My personal opinion: It is difficult to me to think that DJI doesn't have top of class internal SDKs for their own internal product development and the SDK publication process could be much faster, it's just feature selection that needs to go on, but it is the strategic, commercial timing that drives the release dates to keep control of the market. In fact, I don't see why the new drones are not supported in the SDK upon their release. There is just no technical justification!

If this is what is going on, this is in my opinion typical monopolistic behavior AND ILLEGAL and US and European authorities need to get involved.

YOUR CUSTOMERS and drone app developers are substantially hurt by this, both in market growth, and customer image, since most customers blame the app developer for not supporting the newer dji drones not knowing that it is DJI who is not allowing them to do so.

The prompt release of SDKs is not a favor that we need to thank DJI for. It is a legal requirement of a market leader that DJI needs to comply with in the US and European markets. Litchi for example, is asking their costumers to send emails to DJI begging for the support of the mini 2 and Air 2S !!! These letters need to be addressed instead to the US State Department and the European Ant Trust Commission on violation of Article 102 of the European Union Charter that prohibits abusive behaviour by companies holding a dominant position on any given market.

Wake up DJI. Not cool...

I understand your point of view, I would love myself see a SDK for the FPV DJI Drone but I have never seen any promises from dji claiming they will release one, it's not because they do it for other models that they are "forced" to do it for the FPV drone. I want a SDK as much as you do but it's going to be on another model I'm afraid :(

DJI, you promised Air 2s support, but it's yet to materialize. It's been months already and nothing!

The release date has been announced, we plan to release the Android version of MSDK 4.16 at the end of December, in which we will support Mini2, Air 2S and Mini SE. We believe this time will come soon.

That's a real shame. It will be 8 month since the release of the Air2S. Looks like DJI no longer realizes that one of it's biggest advantages was support for the development of 3rd party apps. In the past, sdk release was much quicker. Hope the actual release date of version 4.16 will be sooner and that it will be a stable and reliable release. Currently holding back on buying the Air2S due to lacking sdk support.
