LTE function on the M400 is not operating correctly
Hello,
After enabling LTE on the M400 via a USB dongle, the aircraft does not switch over to LTE when the RC link is lost.
Observations:
When the RC connection drops, failover to LTE does not occur.
The LTE signal keeps fluctuating, and the link/status LED that indicates connection between the RC and aircraft never turns green.
Test setup: the drone was left in our office on the 15th floor. When we moved the RC down to the 1st floor, the RC link was lost. On the M400, the LTE link also dropped.
Under the same test conditions with an M4TD aircraft, LTE works as expected and maintains the connection.
Questions:
Is this a defect with this specific unit, or a general issue affecting the M400 model?
Could this be a firmware-related problem on the M400?

Dear Developer,
What version of MSDK are you using? The MSDK version v5.16.0 has fixed the issue where the LTE of M400 and M4 models does not actually work after being enabled, which is almost identical to the problem you described.
If the MSDK version you are using is not v5.16.0, it is recommended to update to v5.16.0.

We used MSDK 5.16. We tested both with our app developed using the MSDK and with DJI Pilot 2, and the same issue occurred. The firmware on both the remote controller and the aircraft is up to date.

If the DJI Pilot 2 APP also has the same issue, it cannot be resolved at the MSDK level. This is because the DJI Pilot 2 APP does not actually integrate with MSDK, so the problem may lie in the aircraft firmware or the USB dongle itself.
It is recommended that you contact the corresponding product support team directly via [email protected] to report the issue where you cannot enable the LTE function using the USB dongle in the DJI Pilot 2 APP.
