Set Speed lower than 1 m/s

Open PeimanAtaeiJPDroni opened this issue 10 months ago • 4 comments

Hi DJI,

I need to fly the drone with a speed lower than 1 m/s (for example 0.5 m/s) to capture special images with high resolution.

How we can set this speed, as we know the minimum speed for drones is 1.

Could you please inform us about the model of drone you are using? The speed of a drone can be 0, which means hovering, so its minimum speed should not be 1m/s.

Thank you.

I found the same limitation just today using Pilot 2 and the M3E. I wanted to create a manual Hyperlapse using waypoints. 1 m/s is as low as you can set the speed. Trying .9 or .5 m/s isn't allowed.

Could you tell me why you need such a low waypoint speed?

Because if I am creating a 20 minute Hyperlapse, the shortest possible distance I can travel in that Hyperlapse is 1.2km.

I think you are referring to the control settings on the remote. The setting parameter set to 1m/s means that the stick movement in that direction is maximized, and the speed it represents can only reach 1m/s.

If you need the aircraft to fly at a speed less than 1m/s, you might want to consider using the virtual stick feature. https://developer.dji.com/doc/mobile-sdk-tutorial/en/tutorials/virtual-stick.html
