Documentation on testing channel workers

Hi,

As a fairly new channels user I find the documentation on how to test channel applications somewhat sparse. Lately I implemented and tested channel workers so I feel I could share some of my gained know-how. That is, I would be willing to contribute to the documentation if you guys agree that it could be extended. I was thinking some concrete examples on how to test background workers?
