Alarm clock is not working in powered off state

Is that an issue? To me this sounds like intended behaviour on Android ;)

From the discussion on Russian 4pda forum it seems working on stock build. In theory, PMIC could have an RTC which could turn the power on and boot the phone.

Okay, good to know! I am pretty sure it is some MediaTek feature then because obviously the hardware has to support is as you already mentioned. Maybe this "Scheduled power on/off" framework helps here...

Well, the Power-OFF Alarm feature and a daemon poad were mentioned in context of this issue (though poad was declared as deprecated). Do you have more info about this "Scheduled power on/off" feature? Any link to source code?

ZOPO had it in their officially released sources I guess. Do you have the ZOPO sources available?
