Last 4 releases share the same code from 8 months ago. No longer open source?
Where are the new features coming from since this repo has not been updated in 8 months?
How can we verify the code in the repo is what is running inside the packaged released?
How have new features been implemented such as flux without any changes to the application source code?
Is this app now considered closed source? Does the app load remote resources?
Please advise.
Been wondering the same thing... Styles isn't in the repo, FLUX isn't in the repo. Decompiling the app find a bunch of stuff changed, makes me feel uneasy about using it.
Looks like the author has removed the downloads from github now too...
This is unfortunate.
Do you guys know a good alternative we can migrate to?
DrawThings app works with flux, but has quite a different interface.
Oof, that's incredibly unfortunate and pretty shady.
@divamgupta I understand this is an OSS project - I usually never "demand" anything from the OSS devs, but can you please comment on that issue? It's pretty sketchy that we don't know what code has been running on our machines.
same source.zip since version 2.4.4 Dec.28 2023 ... Wandering why there is a AGPL-3.0 license file in this project ...
@divamgupta I believe you are in breach of the AGPL-3.0 license.
While you’re continuing to release new versions of DiffusionBee, the corresponding source code hasn’t been updated in this repository. This is a clear violation of the AGPL-3.0 license under which DiffusionBee is distributed.
Section 6 of the AGPL-3.0 license:
“You may convey a covered work in object code form under the terms of sections 4 and 5, provided that you also convey the machine-readable Corresponding Source under the terms of this License…”
This means you are obligated to provide the complete source code whenever you distribute binaries. Failing to do so is not permitted under the license.
“Corresponding Source conveyed… must be in a format that is publicly documented (and with an implementation available to the public in source code form), and must require no special password or key for unpacking, reading or copying.”
Withholding the updated source code feels malicious... I really like this project, but this situation is not filling me with confidence.
