Roadmap for 5.4 and beyond

Virtual 5.3 already includes most of the latest vAmiga features. However, a few key improvements are still in the pipeline.

Planned for 5.4

  • Adaptive Sample Rate (ASR) ASR will enable smoother audio playback through smarter sample rate prediction (like in vAmiga).
  • Improved Game Controller Support This feature improves gamepad compatibility by supporting SDL-like game pad descriptions.

Planned for 6.0

  • Workspaces: Version 6.0 will switch from snapshots as the document format to workspaces, which are essentially resource bundles comprising Roms, media files, and a setting script. Workspaces are used with great success in vAmiga since 4.0.
