Roadmap for vAmiga 4.3
With vAmiga 4.2 officially released, it's time to look ahead to version 4.3.
Recent work on the file system has been enjoyable, and I’d like to continue developing it. For v4.3, I plan to enhance RetroShell by introducing a third console, alongside the existing Commander and Debugger consoles. This new console is supposed to provide commands for file system manipulation such as creating new file systems, listing, adding, renaming, and deleting files etc. The goal is to offer functionality a bit like xdftools, but within RetroShell.
Suggestions, feedback, and feature requests are welcome.
Groundwork has been laid. RetroShell features three consoles now. Next to the existing command and debug console, a new file navigator console has been added. Pressing Shift+Left or Shift+Right cycles through the consoles. The new console is just a wrapper at the moment, as it offers no commands, yet.
Basic commands to browse the file system (cd, ls, pwd) are working:
File system navigator is part of v4.3b1 and ready for testing.
