Package ‘rgeos’ has retired

Hi!

I am trying to install the package 'rEEMSplots', but failed in installing the dependency 'rgeos'. I learnt that the package 'rgeos' has retired this month, and it's suggested to use "sf" or "terra" instead. Do you have any plans to update 'rEEMSplots'?

Thank you for pointing out that rgeos (and also rgdal) is deprecated.

I've made changes to use sf instead. These are only tested on the examples that come with the package.
