Notes directory location keeps getting lost on Windows 10

Open stevage opened this issue 3 years ago • 1 comments

I'm using Windows 10, with Code running mostly via WSL. Fairly often (once a week?), the location of the Notes folder (within my Dropbox) seems to get lost.

When I go to "List notes", a message, "Failed to read the notes folder" is shown. I set it to the correct path, and all is well again...for a while.

I haven't had any similar issues with any other extensions.

Do you have Smart Sync turned on? I wonder if your notes directory gets put in the cloud by Smart Sync and vscode isn't able to send the trigger for Dropbox to make the directory local again. Try right-clicking on your notes directory and make sure the Dropbox Smart Sync is set to Local.
