how to export custom method to ~/.fancy-git/prompt.sh

I have a custom method to set terminal title as below

function title() {
  if [[ -z "$ORIG" ]]; then
    ORIG=$PS1
  fi
  TITLE="\[\e]2;$*\a\]"
  PS1=${ORIG}${TITLE}
}

this method sets the terminal title. ($ title "my title") but as in .bashrc file, there is a new line at the end as .~/.fancy-git/prompt.sh and this is preventing to execute that method... So, may you suggest how to fix this?
