Messages containing quotes are completely blank

Since a recent update to dino, one user in our group chat's messages quoting another have become completely invisible. It somehow only happens to that specific user (who's running gajim 1.0.1).

Their quote format looks like the following:

>[HH:MM:SS] username: message
reply

Yet, if I or another user copy the exact same format, the message does not disappear.

Messages appear like this:

Blank messages are searchable and visible from the search menu.

Also note that (this may belong in another issue), the first character after > vanishes for all users. The following message: >hello Will appear as

ello

[zeroeightysix]

Apparently the culprit seems to be a left-to-right mark inserted between the > and [ in quotes (>(LTR)[)

I may be wrong, but I believe 1309d7e2e42a1fdced3127c641f108fb72cc2fdd (3 commits after 0.3) fixed this.
