test the configuration create email alerts

I am newbie to zabbix. I followed the steps in your page.template are also added to discovery rules. And I have just changed --> docker.containers[{#containername}, status] in item prototype and in triggers changed {host:docker.containers[{# containername}, status].max(#1)}<0 But i want to stop the container and test whether email alert is being triggered. Please guide how to add email alerts and to get status of container in zabbix GUI ( like problem,OK)
