Mousedown inside popup, mouseup outside of popup closes it

This is kind of weird behaviour. If I try to copy and paste some caption, lets say photo of tiger here: http://dimsemenov.com/plugins/magnific-popup/, I am starting to select text with mouse having left button pressed and end up with mouse outside of popup when I release the mouse button. When I release it popup closes!

This is very important for me since I am having some gallery plugin inside of popup, so I can scroll pictures inside of it with mouse, like if I swipe them to left or right, so after this so called "swipe" my mouse almost always ends up outside of popup and it unexpectedly closes.

Happens on Mac, Google Chrome. Haven't tested at other OS's.

Still a choice-changing issue in 2019, we commonly use magnific popup for forms and highlighting text within inputs and then releasing mouse outside of popup closes the modal, our forms are loaded via ajax so all entered data is lost.
