[Feature request] Ability to update tag tab and inventory setup within in-game bank tag tab
Hi, thanks for the plugin.
I want to migrate from Bank Tag layouts, however this plugin doesn't offer in-bank tag tab functionality to quickly update the inventory setup and tag tab based on the current state of the inventory/equipped gear like Bank Tag Layouts has.
This is the killer feature for me and I think a lot of people who do not want to open the RuneLite side bar and want to stay in-game as much as possible.
The bank tag layout functionality I'm referring to is this:
Inside a bank tag tab, you can click this button to preview changes to the tag tab based on the current state of the equipped gear and inventory layout:
This generates a preview of the changes and then transitions to a Confirm button set, which allows to keep or discard the changes:
Right click the shown worn items (top left in the bank) and you’ll see “Auto Layout” which will recreate the layout and ask for confirmation. Is this what you were looking for?
I don't see that option when right-clicking the shown worn items button. Is there a config setting I need to enable in order to see that?
These are the options I see:
Select a setup first and the option will appear. All this information is available in the Guide
I assume you mean a setup inside the side panel?
Sorry, let me make the request a bit more clear.
I would like to be able to recreate the layout with only having the associated bank tag tab open and not having to do anything else like Bank Tag Tab Layouts offers.
I mainly want to avoid to have to select anything in the RuneLite side panel first because that’s an couple extra steps, to open it and go menu-diving for the setup, every time I reorganize a bank tab, it feels like it’s slowing down the process.
Also, I checked the guide for Auto-Layout and I still don’t see where it says to first select a setup in order to see auto-layout option.
Layouts will automatically be managed by Inventory Setups as you create, remove, edit, export, import, and manipulate your setups. If you'd like to reset only the layout of an inventory setup, you can right-click the "Show worn items" menu and select the auto layout option.
In bank tag layouts you also need a layout opened to reset it right? The same applies to inventory setups. Without ever opening the side panel you can regenerate the layout.
- Right click the shown worn items as you did before.
- Open a setup - this will open the layout. In your example click “Open setup - moksha-is”.
- Right click the show worn items button again. A new option will appear “Auto Layout” since you have a setup opened. You can choose preset or zig zag from here and it will regenerate the layout.
- A confirmation dialogue will appear after you select one of the layout types.
From what I understand this is what you want. Is something not working as expected? The auto layout option does exactly what the bank tag layouts button does, it’s just in the show worn items menu.
Looks like it's not working as expected. After step 2, I am not seeing an 'Auto Layout' option appear.
Do you have Classic Filtering enabled in the settings? I can see the “Close Setup” option but is the layout active in the bank?
The 'Use Layouts' options is enabled, so it's not using classic filtering based on my read of the description.
Right. So the setup can be opened but the layout might not be active. This could be if you clicked a different tab to remove the layout. Is the layout active?
I see the Auto-Layout option after enabling the Bank filtering setting on the setup in the Inventory setup side panel.
So that's solved but it's not great that I still have to go into the side panel to do that every time. Would be a nice default.
That said, I don't think the Auto-Layout is working as intended, as it doesn't reorganize the bank tag tab after moving items around in the inventory or unequipping gear
You don’t have to enable bank filtering every time. That info is saved per setup. There is a config setting to enable by default for every newly created setup.
For your second point, it uses the setup on the panel to determine what the layout should be, not based on equipment or inventory. You can refresh an entire setup using the circular refresh symbol (this does require using the side panel). Or edit individual slots by right clicking. Guide has examples.
Just FYI - vanilla Bank Tags (not the hub plugin bank tag layouts) does support layouts as well. So if you aren’t finding Inventory Setups for you, you can migrate to Bank Tags Layouts to normal Bank Tags. The side panel is used heavily by inventory setups.
