90% API still works. But no new updates

The main thing is the login that has a problem and this is 100% the case!

Why don't you submit a PR here so everyone can use it?

Hi everyone 👋 Just wanted to ask if there’s any plan to continue maintaining this project, or if it’s officially abandoned at this point.

Also, does anyone know of a more up-to-date fork that’s being actively maintained or has recent fixes (especially for login and new features)?

Thanks in advance!

Is this project still alive?

No. At least, I didn't do anything in like three years or so and don't have desire to pick this back up. There's a lot that would need to be done. It's probably easier to start from scratch.

Yes — I actually maintain an up-to-date fork of the Instagram Private API (PHP version).

I’ve been supporting and updating it for over 5 years, keeping it alive through all the changes Instagram introduced. Despite all the updates and restrictions, we’re very much alive — and stable.

Many functions still work smoothly — including posting, Direct messages, and most basic requests, as long as you respect the natural limits and add short pauses between requests. There are also a few tricks that help bypass certain restrictions and keep things running in a calm, “human-like” mode for various use cases.

And once again — probably another advertisement! We're searching GitHub for free source code!
