Richer content in the modal dialogs

The content for the modal dialogs is controlled by yaml files in data/projects. However, in the description field, I can't seem to figure out how to add anything other than text. Specifically, I want to be able to add audio/video content to the projects using the html5 audio/video tags. The description field in the yaml files doesn't seem to accept anything other than one line of text. How can I add audio/video to projects?

You can add some basic markup if you wrap the description with a quote, as long as there's no quotes in your content it will allow basic html. This won't help with your question, but it does allow for paragraphs, formatting and headers etc.
