On some errors, CLI gets stuck and must be killed to terminate

Issue

when running CLI on unavailable folder (typically root owned, not available for reading for current user), or saving to profile in unknown folder, the CLI throws an exception and gets stuck.

To get out, process must be killed with ctl-C to terminate
