Various templates are created via daml assistant as part of the daml new command...

There also is documentation available on these templates at https://www.digitalasset.com/developers/examples

Should these templates continue to be exposed, and are they all up to date and still relevant?

They are sourced from a variety of places, but the full list is shown below.

These templates are returned in both the 2.x and 3.x version of daml assistant
