Go back a word

Open didoesdigital opened this issue 2 years ago • 0 comments

Overview

What if you could go back a word? That could let you immediately practice/fix your mistake until you are happy with it before moving on.

The idea to go back a word to see the previous stroke's hint was shared by Charles to help mitigate the problem outlined in https://github.com/didoesdigital/typey-type/issues/15

Sometimes it is nice to go back and see what the correct stroke was according to the stroke hint.

Considerations

  • What if you could go back as many words as you like?
  • What would going back a word do to the end of lesson chart?
  • If you mistyped a word, moved on, then went back, and correctly stroked the word, would that be marked as correct for the sake of this lesson as shown on the finished page in the chart and possible stroke improvements? What about for updating the metWords progress JSON?
  • Would multiple attempts be shown in the possible stroke improvements section of the finished page? Just the first attempt? Just last attempt?
  • What if you could only see the previous word's stroke hint (diagram/text) but not go back and re-attempt it?
