Too large displacement?

Open westhuronriverdrive opened this issue 4 years ago • 3 comments

Hi, I am analyzing the two images, and I get unreasonable displacement field. The images are obtained by a 3-point flexure. It seems only overwrapping area is analyzed and I need to do something for large displacement. This is probably due to the parameter settings, but I have no idea about how to do it. Could you tell me what to do? Thanks in advance.

If you don't have images with smaller displacements between the frames, you will likely need to use the FEATURE_MATCHING initializer. This is an option on the right panel of the user interface. With regards to the unreasonable displacements, make sure that the SIGMA field is not -1 for each subset. SIGMA = -1 represents failure of the correlation. See if either of those helps.

Thank you for the answer. I am using Version 2.0 and still struggling about this.

Another question I have is what happens if you use grayscale images? It's unlikely this is causing problems, but DICe is really meant for grayscale images. Color images should automatically get converted, but it's worth checking.
