f345087e753e998dda62dd67c7346b8fc8d78c5f If you hold left mouse button on quest monsters while they are talking, they will repeat their speech (checked Lazarus and Snotspill, probably works on all quest speeches - Lazarus replays once, Snotspill keeps replaying forever)
To Reproduce
Go to Lazarus hold left mouse button on him while he's talking hear the speech twice
Hold left mouse button on Snotspill during his final speech - he will keep restarting it as long as you hold the LMB on him
Expected Behavior
Speech that's supposed to play once plays once

I know I have done so in vanilla, might be the same issue here?
Besides repeating the speech, holding the click also has the effect of freezing the monster's animation. Could not reproduce either in vanilla.
Both vanilla and devx reset the monster's idle animation when left-clicking them.

That would be the equivalent of repeatedly clicking in vanilla so would also reset there animation and probably trigger the repeated dialog
Also occurs on PS4, only way to escape from my testing is to cast your readied spell. Not only audio plays on a loop, but it hitches the framerate when played the first time. Used to be far worse on 1.4, so at least that has improved a lot!

As for the betas, I've been trying yours every since I learned about the project, but they crash on startup. Am I meant to delete my save before trying this out?

The app itself just crashes on startup, with the "DevilutionX has stopped", the usual screen where it tries to collect info to send it to Sony. Am I doing something wrong? I merely install the beta pkg as any other, with the release version still installed. Should I go for a clean install, perhaps?
Maybe @isage knows what is happening here.

Can't reproduce. Is this still a problem?
Something weird happens on Switch too. The video sometimes plays, sometimes don’t (mostly don’t). Entering the room, Lazarus and other monsters are not moving (well, he turns following you but doesn’t do anything else) until you speak to him. Then he starts its speech (sometimes more than one time) but nothing happens, until I move out of view (going around the corner) and returning back. Then the fight starts. One time it didn’t start and I had to reload the game.
